Frequently Asked Questions

What is ABA therapy, and how can it help my child?

ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) is a science-based approach that helps teach new skills and reduce behaviors that may interfere with learning and independence. At Go Behavioral, we use ABA to build communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and life skills tailored to each child’s unique needs. Our goal is to help your child thrive at home, in school, and in the community.

At what age can my child start ABA therapy?

We offer services for children as young as 18 months. Early intervention ABA is especially powerful because a child’s brain is highly adaptable during their early years. However, it’s never too late to start—our programs also support school-age children and teenagers.

How is your therapy individualized for each child?

Every child starts with a comprehensive ABA assessment. From there, we design a personalized treatment plan based on your child’s strengths, needs, and your family’s goals. No two therapy plans are exactly alike—because no two children are alike.

What does a typical ABA session look like?

ABA sessions are structured but fun! Therapists work 1:1 with your child, using natural play, activities, and structured teaching to practice communication, social, and daily living skills. Sessions can take place at home, in our clinic, at school, or even in the community, depending on what’s best for your child.

Do you provide parent training?

Yes! Parent training for autism is a core part of our programs. We believe parents are powerful partners in therapy. Through one-on-one coaching, we teach you strategies to manage behavior, encourage communication, and support your child’s growth at home and in everyday life.

Can ABA therapy be done at school?

Absolutely. We offer ABA therapy in schools and can work alongside teachers and school teams to support your child during the school day. We also provide school-based ASD social skills training to help your child build friendships and confidence in the classroom.

What happens in your social skills groups?

Our social skills classes for kids are small group sessions where children learn and practice essential social abilities like conversation, sharing, emotional understanding, and problem-solving. Sessions are fun, structured, and supportive, creating real opportunities for connection and friendship.

How do I know if my child is making progress?

We take data during every session to track your child’s growth toward their goals. Your child’s BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) will review this data regularly and adjust the program as needed. We also provide frequent updates and parent meetings so you always know how your child is doing.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we work with many major insurance providers. Our intake team will help you navigate the process, check your coverage, and guide you through every step to make accessing services as smooth as possible.
